A Summer Wedding at Rutland Hall Hotel

Anna & Ryan’s Rutland Hall Wedding
Anna and Ryan wanted their wedding to be elegant and timeless. They opted for a dress code of black tie to give the feel of an old Hollywood Movie and it didn’t disappoint.
They fell in love with Rutland Hall because the setting reminded them of Lake Windermere and they had both raced triathlons in the backdrop of Rutland Water which is perfect given that is how they met.
We both fell in love with the backdrop and Rutland Hall Hotel
From our first meeting, I knew Anna and Ryan and I would work beautifully together. They had a clear vision: they wanted authentic, candid moments alongside images that felt editorial and timeless. Throughout our planning calls, Anna would light up talking about her ‘Audrey Hepburn wall’ at home, and I was excited to have the chance to create those classic, elegant portraits she’d been dreaming of.
Rutland Hall Hotel of coursed proved to be an absolutely stunning backdrop for their wedding. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect – the sunshine allowed the ceremony to take place outdoors, with views of Rutland Water stretching into the distance.
I worked with Anna and Ryan to schedule their photography throughout the day. By planning our portrait sessions at strategic moments and breaking them into shorter segments, they never felt pulled away from their guests for too long. This approach also gave them precious moments together, away from the excitement of the day. The result? They got exactly what they wanted – including those coveted images for the Audrey Hepburn wall.

MY HIGHLIGHTS
One of the things I think I will remember most from Anna and Ryan’s Wedding at Rutland Hall is that Anna’s Dad was the one to help her in to her dress along with her mum. It is something I haven’t seen before and it was so special. He was the only one who knew how to bustle her dress in the evening too.
They also had an incredible bathtub selfie area, yes you read that right, scroll down in the gallery below to see it, it really was such a brilliant idea.
Anna and Ryan your wedding was truly spectacular, you achieved your dream of an elegant, black tie, Hollywood feel and really used Rutland Hall to it’s full advantage. I can’t wait to see your Audrey Hepburn Wall when the images are printed.
