Normanton church + sunset + clouds for atmosphere = an incredible location for your evening portraits When Emma and Dom told me they wanted @normantonchurch to feature in their sunset shots I was so excited ! Their wedding morning was not looking positive for a great sunset, it rained hard all the way up until about 3pm but come sunset we had a spring in our step as we drove over to Rutland Water for these photos and wow were they worth it?! Instagram vs reality is a well known quote but one Instagram vs reality is a well known quote but one I think we forget to remember when looking at other peoples posts. So often people tell me that they see me as someone who always has their sh*t together. Let me break that myth for you. Unless you’re in my close circle you won’t know how often I question myself. How often I feel bad for having my daughter in summer holiday club so I can make sure I get galleries out on time (even though she loves it). How stressed I get in the run up to holidays, how much work I put in to make sure I am not on my screen 24/7 when we are away, even then I am of course still on emails. I know I’m not alone in this, and don’t get me wrong I LOVE my job, I would never change it but it isn’t all magic and fairy dust, it’s hard work. I take things too personally, I am a people pleaser and I always want to overachieve.
