Dibbins Wood Ranch themed Wedding

Why Dibbins Wood at Deene Park Just Became My Favourite Wedding Venue (And Why It Should Be Yours Too)

You know that feeling when you walk into a space and immediately think “this is it”? That’s exactly what happened when I stepped into Dibbins Wood at Deene Park for a recent styled shoot. I’m genuinely obsessed with this place.

First things first – Dibbins Wood isn’t your typical woodland venue. This is luxury woodland vibes, and there’s a massive difference. We’re talking about a completely secluded glade within 90 acres of ancient woodland, surrounded by wildflowers, with power and running water.

It’s like someone took all the inconveniences out of outdoor weddings and left you with pure magic.

The Green Chapel is something else – dappled sunlight filtering through a full tree canopy, rustic benches carved from a fallen oak tree right there on the estate, and your own wooden chapel nestled among the trees. It’s intimate, it’s romantic, and it photographs beautifully.

When Country Meets Chic: The Western-Inspired Shoot

The styled shoot I photographed here was designed to prove something: country doesn’t have to mean rustic. Country can be chic, sophisticated, and effortlessly cool. The team went full western glam – think horseshoes, cowhides, cowboy hats, and a tequila bar.
The tipi from Tipees and Tents provided the perfect blank canvas for our vision. One of the things I absolutely love about Dibbins Wood is their bespoke tipi approach – you get to choose from four different layouts depending on your guest count and vibe. Want intimate and cosy? They’ve got you. Planning a festival-style celebration? They can do that too.
Stingray Events absolutely nailed the styling, creating something that felt authentic yet elevated. The florals from Julia Dilworth Florals brought in those desert tones that complemented the woodland setting perfectly – who knew cacti and ancient oaks could work so well together?

The Team That Makes It Happen at dibbins wood

This shoot really showed me how important it is to work with suppliers who understand the vision. Stingray Events absolutely nailed the styling, creating something that felt authentic yet elevated. The florals from Julia Dilworth Florals brought in those desert tones that complemented the woodland setting perfectly.

The cake from My Little Cake Studio was gorgeous, and the biscuit favours from The Kitsch Hen were the perfect little take-home touch. When Ceremonies by Nicola led the mock ceremony, you could feel the emotion even during a styled shoot, she really does add that personal touch.

Why Your Wedding Needs a Blank Canvas Like This

Dibbins wood isn’t just a venue, it’s a canvas. Whether you’re dreaming of bohemian romance, classic elegance, or yes, even western chic, this space can transform to match your vision perfectly.

The fact that they’re licensed for civil ceremonies means you can legally tie the knot right there among the trees. But if you want something more personal, their team works seamlessly with celebrants to create exactly the ceremony you’re envisioning.

They also offer full planning support and on-the-day management. As someone who’s photographed countless weddings, I can tell you that having a coordinator who knows the space inside and out is absolutely invaluable and when you are looked after by the incredible Connie I know your day is going to run smoothly.

The Magic is in the Details

I loved capturing all of the details that made this shoot so special and all of the incredible suppliers. Michaela from The Boho Bridal team created this effortlessly gorgeous hair and makeup look that was perfect for the western theme. And who can forget the cowboy hats hanging from the lights above the tables!? Such a clever styling choice that looked incredible in photos.

The bride’s dress from Serendipity Brides was flowing and romantic, which created this beautiful contrast against the western elements. And Julia Dilworth’s florals were genius – bringing in those desert tones and textures that made perfect sense with the ancient woodland setting.

Ready to Fall in Love with dibbins wood?

I could go on about Dibbins Wood for hours (and probably will if you ask me), but the truth is, you need to experience it for yourself. This venue isn’t just about having a pretty wedding – it’s about creating an experience that’s authentically you, in a setting that’s absolutely magical.

If you’re newly engaged and dreaming of something special, something that feels both intimate and grand, rustic and refined, then we need to talk. Because I have a feeling Dibbins Wood might just be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

And if you book it? Well, I’d love nothing more than to be there to capture every beautiful moment of your day.
