With excitement and anticipation I waited at the Hatfield registry office for Barry and Mark to arrive for their wedding. It was a beautiful day with a clear sky which was a blessing after the torrential rain of the day before – a good omen I am sure.

They both arrived along with their mums and several family members all full of excitement for what was to be a very special ceremony for two even more special men.

Barry and Mark met online 12 years ago, Mark travelled half way across the country to meet Barry and they haven’t looked back since. On meeting them you can see straight away how perfect they are for each other, their love radiates from them and there comfort in each others presence a telling sign of their years together. Barry was kitted out in a kilt to reflect his Scottish roots and Mark had on a very dapper suit which almost didn’t appear due to some confusion at the tailor’s 2 days before the wedding!!

I was allowed the rings for a brief moment prior to the ceremony – I can’t even tell you how petrified I was that I would confuse who’s belonged to who!

How to prepare for your pre wedding shoot

Deciding what to wear and how to prepare for your pre wedding shoot can often be more stressful than the shoot itself.

Unless of course you have a cheeky little prep post like this one to help you along that is.

Your session will either take place at sunrise or sunset (preferably) so we can get some of that gorgeous golden light. It will last for up to 90 minutes which should give us time for at least two outfit changes.
