I knew from the moment I met James and Charlotte that I was going to have a lot of fun photographing their wedding, They are such a fun loving couple, always joking with each other, laughing and enjoying life. This was further cemented during the speeches at the wedding breakfast in St Alban’s Thompson’s restaurant, I was laughing so much I almost forgot I was meant to be taking photos, the love between this couple and the happiness they have for each other is clear to see and I know if they stay loving life and having as much fun as they are now then they will have a long and happy life together.
The wedding was split over two days. On the Friday there was a more intimate ceremony at the beautiful St Alban’s Registry office filled with their close friends and family followed by a big celebration at the Hitchin Priory Hotel in Hertfordshire on the Sunday.
James’s company looks after the grounds at the Hitchin Priory so he had had a team of people there for weeks prior to the wedding to make it just right for their day. All of the little details had been considered, there was bouncy castles, an ice cream van and face painting, there was Lee Smith Magician extraordinaire and an amazing singer. They had a photo booth which was enjoyed by everyone young and old(er) and it was beautifully styled, even the rain couldn’t stop the fun.
Here are some images from each of their wedding days. Links to suppliers are at the bottom xx

Deciding what to wear and how to prepare for your pre wedding shoot can often be more stressful than the shoot itself.
Unless of course you have a cheeky little prep post like this one to help you along that is.
Your session will either take place at sunrise or sunset (preferably) so we can get some of that gorgeous golden light. It will last for up to 90 minutes which should give us time for at least two outfit changes.read more
