On a Sunny day in August Rose and Sam made history by becoming the first couple EVER to be married at the Millfield Theatre in Edmonton, and what a spectacular wedding it was.
I was shot this wedding alongside Maddielilli Photography and spent the early afternoon with the Groom and his Groomsmen for what must be the most relaxed groom prep I have ever seen. The guys were laughing and joking between themselves and singing around the Piano, I later learnt that Sam has his own band which makes sense now as he was an incredible singer.
Singing around the piano – Groom prep in style !!
Meanwhile Rose was getting ready with her bridesmaids in Millfield house, nervous with excitement and anticipation of what was to come, Rose was the picture of beauty as she made the final adjustments to her dress and veil. I always love the first time Dad sees his little girl in her wedding dress, even the dads who don’t usually show their emotions can’t help but feel overwhelmed.
Rose entered the Theatre to ‘overture to Mary Poppins’, the Bridal party behind her had black umbrellas which they put up as they walked in several members of the Wedding guests were given them as well it was a fantastic sight to behold and such beautiful and original music for the bride’s entrance.
Rose and Sam repeat their vows and exchange wedding rings. Their chosen ‘hymns’ for the ceremony – ‘God only knows’ by the Beach boys and ‘It must be love’ by Madness – I did tell you this was a fantastic wedding, all of the wedding guests were on their feet dancing and singing along
The Happy Couple are announced officially as Husband and Wife
After the ceremony, we took some time with the couple to capture some photos of just the two of them for the first time as husband and wife, they were so relaxed and in love.
They always say the wedding day goes far to fast and before long it was time for the speeches. Rose’s Dad didn’t disappoint with a heartfelt speech about his beautiful little girl and a boy named Sam who she met at School….. This was swiftly followed by a rap to the fresh prince of Bell Air by Rose’s best friend and Bridesmaids that had everyone in stitches and to top it off, the best man had made a video speech and recorded a video of the entire wedding party singing and dancing along to one of the Brides Favourite songs.
A massive thank you to the team at the Millfield theatre for helping to coordinate such a spectacular wedding, may this be the start of something very special for you all xx And a huge congratulations to Sam and Rose, may you enjoy many many more happy years together

Deciding what to wear and how to prepare for your pre wedding shoot can often be more stressful than the shoot itself.
Unless of course you have a cheeky little prep post like this one to help you along that is.
Your session will either take place at sunrise or sunset (preferably) so we can get some of that gorgeous golden light. It will last for up to 90 minutes which should give us time for at least two outfit changes.read more
