A Sunny September wedding at Normanton Church

Normanton Church in Rutland is beautiful in any weather but Sunny September days really do bring out the magic.

It is a perfect venue for an intimate wedding ceremony and the light inside is just beautiful

Normanton Church in September is truly beautiful

On the 23rd of September, under the beaming sun, Alicia and Liam chose Normanton Church at Rutland Water for their wedding. The setting was intimate, with only close family and friends in attendance.

My favourite part of the day has to be the moment that Liam saw Alicia for the first time. Everyone deserves to have someone look at them the way that Liam looked at Alicia in that moment, and all throughout their ceremony. He looked like he felt like the luckiest man on the planet, you could feel the happiness radiating from the two of them.

After the wedding ceremony we had a wonderful additional wedding guest in the form of Maddie, Alicia and Liam’s gorgeous dog, making an appearance at Normanton Church for some photos with her newlywed parents. I am always here for people who bring their dogs to their wedding!!

MY HIGHLIGHTS

Following the ceremony, the wedding party moved to the Finches Arms for the wedding breakfast—a relaxed, family-oriented affair that perfectly reflected Alicia and Liam’s style. The Finches Arms offered a cosy setting for heartfelt conversations and shared laughter, making it a memorable extension of the day. The guests milled around in the courtyard, sharing stories and photos, eating canapes and drinking champagne.

Paisley Flower Co deserves applause for the stunning floral arrangements. Alicia’s bouquet, along with the well-coordinated buttonholes, added an elegant touch to the occasion. The church flowers, crafted by a close family friend, complemented the setting with a personal touch and all of the flowers were moved over from Rutland Water after the Wedding ceremony.

This was an emotional day filled with love and laughter, thank you both for choosing me to capture your wedding day and your first steps as Husband and Wife.
