Molly and John’s elegant wedding at Gosfield Hall is one I have been looking forward to for some time, you see Molly has been a fixture in our family home for some time through her decade long friendship with my sister Hannah who was Chief Bridesmaid for Molly on the day. It was a day of perfection, filled with love, laughter and the most beautiful couple.
Gosfield Hall is a venue that needs no introduction. Nestled in the picturesque heart of Essex, this historic Mansion House is a testament to timeless elegance. With its stunning architecture, meticulously manicured gardens, and rich historical significance, Gosfield Hall offers a backdrop like no other for a wedding. Molly and John wisely chose this exceptional venue to set the stage for their dream wedding.
Bridal preparations in Gosfield Hall’s Rococo Bridal Suite
Molly was joined by her 5 bridesmaids and her Mum and Nan for her wedding morning preparations in Gosfield Halls truly luxurious Rococo Bridal suite, decorated during the residency of King Louis XVIII. The moment that Molly’s Dad saw her in her dress for the first time is one that will stick with me, the pure joy in his eyes seeing his little girl for the first time looking like a true princess was a very emotional moment for everyone present.
Meanwhile John and his groomsmen embarked on their own journey in preparation, beginning with bacon rolls, I do love the different journeys the couples go on on the morning of their wedding. Once their stomachs were full the gents swiftly moved one to work out which way to fold their pocket squares, how to un pick pockets and of course, the age old drama of how on earth to attach a buttonhole (Not sure – check out my blog here).
Wedding vows at Gosfield Hall
The heart of any wedding ceremony lies in the exchange of vows, and Molly and John’s vows were nothing short of breath taking. They had taken time to craft deeply personal vows that left not a dry eye in the house.
Molly and John chose the Grand Salon for their wedding ceremony a beautifully elegant room with double height windows and incredible natural light.
The sun played nicely (mostly)
Every couple dreams of perfect weather for their wedding day right? Well molly and John truly lucked out, the sun stayed out for all but 5 minutes of their day and that was during the wedding breakfast so no one apart from me even noticed!
We were even blessed with some beautiful colours in the sky for Molly and John’s quick impromptu photos between their desert and speeches. Always a tricky one to navigate during winter weddings as sunset and food usually clash so thanks guys for coming out and having these photos with me.
